Welcome to the October edition of our newsletter!
Kaleidoscope Theatre has a very busy month ahead and
we hope you can join us at one of our many upcoming
events.

1. THE THREE PIGS
Kaleidoscope Theatre will be touring all over New
England and beyond this month with “The Three Pigs.”
This original adaptation of the traditional tale is
all about show business! The three pigs are
trying to make it onto America’s Barnyard Idol, but
that big, bad Elvis-loving wolf has stolen their
ticket to the big audition!
Can they get their ticket back in time? Can Mama Pig
save them from the Wolf? Will the Pigs make it big
in show
business? Join us at one of our upcoming shows to
find out!
“The Three Pigs” opens this Sunday, October 11th for
the North Shore Musical Children’s Theatre, located
at the Saugus
Senior Center (466 Central St., Saugus, MA). This
performance is at 2:00pm and tickets can now be
purchased online from our website
here
Tickets are $13 online or $12 at the door and as
always, the ticket price includes a free ice cream!

On Monday, October 12th, “The Three Pigs” will be
performing as part of the Woonsocket Autumnfest. The
performance is at 1:00pm (following the famous
parade) and will be located on the Kidsfest Stage on
Veteran’s Way.

The following weekend, Kaleidoscope is on the road
to New Jersey for two performances of “The Three
Pigs” at the Kelsey Theatre on October 17th!
Show times are 2:00pm and 4:00pm and tickets can be
reserved by calling (609) 570-3333!
Finally, on Sunday, October 18th Kaleidoscope will
perform the show as a fundraiser for the Concord
Childrens’ Center.
This performance will be held at the Emerson
Umbrella Theatre at 4:00pm.

2. FAIRYTALES AT THE ZOO
While Kaleidoscope performed “Goldilocks” at the
Roger Williams National Memorial in September, this
month we will be presenting characters at the Roger
Williams Park Zoo in Cranston!
Kaleidoscope Theatre characters will be on hand to
meet and greet people at the Roger Williams Park
Zoo's Jack-o-Lantern spectacular! This event runs
October 8th through November 1st and tickets are
$12.

3. CINDERELLA’S CHRISTMAS
Tickets for Kaleidoscope’s presentation of
“Cinderella’s Christmas” at Rhode Island
College are now on sale! The
performance will be Sunday, December 13th at 2:00pm.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 day of show. To
purchase tickets, please call the RIC Box Office at
(401) 456-8144. The Box Office is open Monday to
Friday from 10am to 4pm.
Kaleidoscope will also be performing “Cinderella’s
Christmas” on December 6th at the
Wilbur Theatre in Boston, MA and at the
Chevrolet Theatre in Wallingford, CT on December
12th.

4. LITTLE RED RIDINGHOOD’S CHRISTMAS
Tickets are also on sale for our annual Christmas
presentation at Scottish Rites Auditorium. We will
be presenting “Little Red Riding Hood’s Christmas”
on December 10th at 10:00am. Through the generosity
of the RI Shriners, tickets can be purchased for the
Christmas show AND a spring presentation of “Rapunzel”
for only $5.50! (“Rapunzel” will be performed on May
13th.)
This performance is being hosted by Kaleidoscope
Theatre, so please call our office at (401) 942-3637
for ticket information. The performances of “Little
Red’s Christmas” and “Rapunzel” are ideal for school
or daycare field trips, but individual families are
welcome to attend as well!
5. REMINDER - $100-OFF COUPONS
For anyone who picked up a $100-0ff coupon this
summer, we’d like to remind you all to call in and
reserve your show dates!
These coupons, which are only available at our
summer concession stands, can be used to book a
school-touring show for any time during the
2009-2010 season... but you must call us by October
15th!
6. SUPPORTING OUR MEMBERS
A. Sam Hood (Prince Stefan in “Sleeping Beauty”)
will be playing Schroeder in “A Good Man Charlie
Brown” at RISE
on Broadway. The performance opens October 9th.

B. Joe Catanzaro (Aladdin in “Aladdin”) and Sarah
Pothier (Princess Cassandra in “The Frog Prince”)
will be featured in
the Pawtucket Community Player’s production of “A
Chorus Line.” This production opens November 6th.

C. Chris Schultz (Vizier in “Aladdin”) and Jasmine
Ready (Aladdin’s mom in “Aladdin”) will be
presenting their two person show “The Queen and the
Peon” at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire. Their
show is performed three times a day and features
music from Kaleidoscope’s show “Jack & the
Beanstalk”. For more information on the Faire, check

D. Santana Roberts (Winnie in “BULLY”) is hosting a
charity event in support of locally grown food on
Sunday,
October 11th. This event will be held at Mishnock
Barn in West Greenwich, RI from 12-4pm. Check

E. Patrick Saunders (Candlewick in “Pinocchio”) will
be in the Providence College production of “Romeo &
Juliet” playing
Friar John. This production runs October
30th-November 8th at the Angell Blackfriars Theatre.
