3. I’M SPECIAL
This past month, Kaleidoscope toured extensively with “I’m Special, You’re Special” with great success. The program has been touring for 30 years, but has been updated to reach modern audiences. Students of all ages can relate to the show’s “celebrating differences” message. St. Margaret’s School in East Providence included photos and a blurb about our performance in their monthly newsletter! http://www.stmargaretsch.org/Newsletter.html
If you’re interested in bringing this program to your school in 2010, please call our office at (401) 942-3637!
4. BULLY
Kaleidoscope Theatre is also continuing to offer our anti-bullying program to schools next year. “BULLY” has been touring to local elementary and middle schools since 2005 and has truly changed the lives of children. One student wrote, “For years I was being bullied, since you came to my school, it has stopped.”
For more student and teacher testimonials, please check out our website at www.kaleidoscopetheatre.com.
5. HIGH SCHOOL BULLY UPDATE
Since the original production of “BULLY” has been so effective, Kaleidoscope is eager to complete our High School version. Last night, actors from Kaleidoscope read the script and sang the music of the new show for teens at the monthly Youth Pride meeting. The read through was a great success and some of the teens even requested that “High School Bully” be brought to their own high schools.
The teens at Youth Pride were instrumental in helping formulate the new script and Kaleidoscope is very grateful for their continued input. Kaleidoscope will be doing another read through with students for Mount Hope High School next week.
Rehearsals for “High School Bully” are in full swing and the first full scale performance of the program will be January 4th at Davies Tech High School in Lincoln, RI.
