1. “BEAUTY & THE BEAST”

To kick off the second half of our summer series, we will be performing the classic version of the tale, “Beauty & the Beast.” When Beauty's father steals a beautiful rose from the Beast's garden, the brave Beauty takes her father's place and must endure the hardships of the Beast's castle. Back at home,
Beauty's silly sisters, Flora and Dora, delight in her absence and in having their father's attention all to themselves, while Beauty begins to realize there may be more to the Beast than first meets the eye. Come join Beauty as she realizes “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”

Production Dates:
* August 4th at Rhode Island College, 11:00am
* August 16th at the Saugus Senior Center, 2:00pm

2. “LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD”

Kaleidoscope’s next performance will be “Little Red Riding Hood.” This production was the first fairytale musical written by David Payton and the show has been thrilling audiences ever since! In Kaleidoscope’s version of the classic tale, the Big Bad Wolf thinks his "tail is a great tale to be told!" The wolf loves nothing more than his tail... except maybe the idea of catching Little Red Riding Hood for lunch! Come
follow the Wolf and Little Red on their adventures towards Granny's house! Who do you think will get there first?

Production Dates:
* August 11th at Rhode Island College, 11:00am

3. “CINDERELLA”

Kaleidoscope will then be performing our most popular musical, “Cinderella”. The cast of this show performed together back in July and they’re very excited to be back in front of audiences again in August!

The washing and waxing and scrubbing have finally been finished, but Cinderella's gown is ruined and her Stepmother and stepsisters have already left for the ball! Will the Fairy Godmother arrive in time? The mice seem to think so... do you? Join us to find out!

If you enjoy our production of “Cinderella”, you can also purchase a musical storybook of the show at our concession stand that you and your children can enjoy again and again!
This book can also be purchased here.

Production Dates:
* August 12th at Cape Cod Melody Tent, 11:00am
* August 13th at South Shore Music Circus, 10:30am
* August 18th at Rhode Island College, 11:00am

taking a short nap awakens to discover the three bears have arrived home! Did you ever wonder what happens after Goldilocks ran all the way home? Join us to find out!

6. KALEIDOSCOPE’S ENCHANTED FOREST

Kaleidoscope recently completed a trial version of a website that provides more detailed show synopsis and access to photos . This site is called Kaleidoscope Theatre’s Enchanted Forest and strives to present information about our shows in a magical and child-friendly format. The main page is a map of a forest that includes the castles and houses of all the fairytales being performed this year. Users of this site
can click on the different castles to learn more about each fairytale. The site also lists performance dates for each show and provides access to video clips!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. The trial site can be found here.
