1. OUR 2009 SUMMER SERIES

We are happy to officially announce our 2009 Summer Series! Performances will run eight weeks from July 7th – August 26th.
For complete details, please visit our blog

Shows will include: “Aladdin”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Snow White”, “The Frog Prince”, “Beauty & the Beast”, “Little Red Riding Hood”, “Cinderella”, and “Goldilocks & the Three Bears”.

Our home base will again be at Robert’s Hall Auditorium at Rhode Island College. With times being as difficult as they are, Kaleidoscope is offering the best “staycation” in town! Without buying expensive travel tickets, you can excite your child’s imagination by bringing them to see their favorite fairytale
come to life on stage!

Tickets at Rhode Island College will be on sale Monday! They can be purchased for $8 in advance or for $10 at the door. A special season pass for all eight shows is available for only $50! A special rate, for groups of 25 or more, is also available.

For more details, please call the RIC Box Office at 401) 456-8144.

4. ALADDIN

Kaleidoscope’s Summer Series will open with “Aladdin” on July 7th. Kaleidoscope has not mounted this show since 1996 and we are very excited to be bringing it back this summer!

In preparation for the return, Kaleidoscope applied for grant money and received it from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA) to produce three new backdrops in conjunction with local artist Laura McPherson. These drops represent the bazaar, the Sultan’s palace, and the magical oasis scenes in
the show. Laura, along with volunteers from Kaleidoscope, recently completed the third and final drop!

Photos of all three completed drops are available on our MySpace account.
