ON THE ROAD WITH NIKKI AND MIA Nikki: Hi! I'm Nikki Speciale. Mia: And I'm Mia Speciale. Nikki: We'd like to tell you what our summer has been like touring with Kaleidoscope Theatre. At the beginning of the summer, we were in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Mia: Jamie was great as Snow White and Ryan was so funny (as the Hunstman). Nikki: It was really fun to be in Snow White because we got to see all our Kaleidoscope friends from last year. Mia: All the dwarves were around our age so it was so much fun. Nikki: Visiting each theater was really exciting too. First was Rhode Island College. This was great because we saw many familiar faces in the audience. Next, we went to both of our favorite theaters… The Chevrolet Theater in Connecticut. Mia: This theater is so much fun because you get to be part of a character lunch. Nikki: It's so much fun going around each table signing autographs. Mia: And taking pictures! Nikki: The next theater was the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis, Massachusetts and then The South Shore Music Circus. Both of these theaters were different than the other two because they were outdoor theaters under a tent and the stage was round. Mia: It made the play feel a little different because the blocking was different and you could see people all around you. Nikki: Also, it was super HOT! No AC outside! It was nice to have both experiences: a regular stage and a theater in the round. Here's a list of our favorite parts of touring with Kaleidoscope… Nikki: Learning lots from Tommy, Nicki, and David Mia: Seeing our Kaleidoscope friends again. Nikki: Riding in the van. Mia: The Chevrolet Theater Nikki: The great stuff in the concession stand and hearing Bobby's voice "Get your Poster". Both: Going tubing with some of the cast at the Thayler's. Nikki: Here's the worst part… David's bad nose jokes (Ha Ha). Mia: I thought they were pretty funny! Nikki: Mia that's because you're 8! Good bye for now and hope to see you all soon at the next Kaleidoscope play. Mia: Thank you to Nicki , Tommy, David, and Bobby for giving us a great time this summer! KALEIDOSCOPE ROCKS!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 4. PHOTOS AVAILABLE ONLINE If you're interested in learning more about behind the scenes here at Kaleidoscope, check out our Myspace profile! Stay tuned for new video footage on our YouTube account www.youtube.com/kaleidoscope1977! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 5. THANK YOU, TECHIES! While all our actors work hard onstage to bring you and your children quality entertainment, there are many individuals who work hard behind the scenes. These members of our company (who run sound and stage manage our productions) do not get your applause onstage, but deserve all of our thanks for a job well done! With out these individuals, our theatre would not be the same! So, please
join us in thanking: Adam, Amber, Christine, Jamie,
Jess, Megan, Nicki, Rob, and Wyatt. We'd also like
to give our appreciation to the many parents who
also helped us out this summer! |
